Purpose of a trading halt - benefiting from all the promotion tours

The reason behind a trading halt? To give all investors ample opportunity to see and digest the news.

IMO, all the tours and presentations with marketing groups and investor groups was to prepare potential investors for this kind of news release. So if a trading halt comes before a long weekend it would give promotors lots of time to call and inform potential investors. It introduces excitement to a large audience and it should be good for the share price.
