I agree. Cigars posts, albeit understandably distraught with frustration, were not vicious nor out of line. We shouldn't just kick somebody off because he asks some hard questions that the majority also share concerns about. And besides every board should have at least one poster with a tobacco product in mind.
Personally I sense (although I have no proof or actual basis to back it up) that the current EIS did not need to be resubmitted because the project manager and the geologist were both down there for quite some time, and hence I suspect that they are having to do some field work and/or provide some information to the Peruvian politicians for the sake of the EIS currently underway. Things are never as they seem. In all seriousness why would the government wait 7 or more months to tell SLI, "Sorry guys, but it must be resubmitted yet again ........we need more information on the potential effects that the Goodyear tires of your vehicles will have on the potential for erosion along one of the cliff faces alongside the road leading up to the property. Please look into that and then resubmit everything again ....sorry but it'll now be another 7 months." Even an enemy shouldn't wish upon something so inhumane and cruel. Why the Peruvian government would deliver such a low blow to a company that has always had good relations with the locals and good standing with the government of Peru wouldn't make any sense. But then, some things in life never do make any sense. But still .....I have to believe that the government remains ridiculously understaffed and behind schedule on account of 1) Huge recent increase in applications to process, 2)Some delays brought on by holidays, 3)The remoteness of the sight also causing time delays since travel time is longer, compounded further by the rainy season, and 4)Distractions brought on by the elections.
As for Lori selling her shares .......Yes, impossible to put any positive spin on that. But in all fairness she may not have warm, fuzzy feelings about the elections right now IRRESPECTIVE of the permit coming sooner or later, and lets face it ........when all of your money is tied up in one stock with over 3 million shares it is only sound and good judgment to diversify at least some. So personally I don't paint a doom and gloom over that, even if it is understandably not encouraging either. But when all is said and done the permit WILL ARRIVE ........just a matter of when. For those that can wait it out they will be glad that they did. Making money in the market is never easy. Or otherwise we would all be rich. Full of ups and downs, and full of twists and turns. SLI is no different. TIghten the seat belt and keep your chin up .....the higher gold goes the greater the worth the property becomes. And if the calculations turn out to be only one fourth true and even if Humala wins, the property still has more potential than all others as far as I'm concerned. Ok, enough of my rant. Bottom line" I'll be hanging in there in anticipation of good things further down the road ......with or without a further delay to the EIS. At this point whats a few more weeks or a few more months? At the end of the day I only care where we stand at the end of this journey.
