Rinky, the NSR or Net Smelter Royalty, is usually a determined percentage paid by the miner to the property owner for smelted ore. Sometimes these agreements could be for the life of the mine, OR bought out by the miner at a prescribed fee that is instituted in the agreement between the owner and miner. In either case, this royalty does not kick in until some of the ore is actually mined. I have seen some companies in the past wait 2 years after mini8ng had started, to start receiving some of their royalties.

This may help inform on NSR,S and such.
