Whilst reading Geer's post it appeared that he has not reviewed the material available. Thank's to Hog I have a better understanding of the distance from the bottom of the anomaly to the top of the ovoid. This is important in that the "waste" (I doubt it would be competely devoid of gold) rock is much less than I previously believed, and subsequently adds more value to the results of someone calculating the cost of an open pit mine.

My conclusion regarding what I consider a relatively uninformed post has a lot of value in that the respose generated more important and positive information. The net result is that I sold off some oil stock and have the proceeds in for another buy of SLI. I started with a small position last year and have been building as my confidence rises.

I am sure Geer knows a lot more about mining than I do, but sometimes too much suspicion can cost you. I thought Exeter had excellent numbers but perhaps if you are too suspicious you can lose out. Conversely if you're not suspicious at all, a fool & his money etc
