But the largest gold mine in the world is the Grasberg Mine in Indonesia. It´s also the third largest copper mine and highest open pit mine in the world.
The YEARLY production (2006) was:
1.88 M oz. gold
5.61 M oz. silver
610,800 tonnes of copper !
