A listing on the AMEX is a very significant step and very foretelling. It speaks to the future look of the company. SLI will become a MUCH larger company.

I believe our management are of the opinion that the Tesoro property will become a major gold mine. Our planned 10km drill program will show the potential of the play. But to bring maximum benefit to us, it won't be enough.

To actually prove up a resource estimate will require much more drilling. There will be more regulatory hurtles to overcome. Even taking the project as far as making a feasibility study. All to create a ready package for acquisition. The longer play for the maximum benefit at the end. Not the quick buy-out on the cheap.

And so to accomplish this, the company must grow. The American capital pool is much larger than ours in Canada. By listing on the AMEX we position ourselves to access that capital.

I think this NR takes us from a Vancouver junior crapshoot to a serious player that has plans to advance a project towards production. Not that we're going to be the producer, but that we basically have a turnkey project to offer for sale.
