There are always political et al related risks in every country, including Canada.

Is it a concern at this point ?, NO.

Peru have elections coming up and depending on who wins, it could be a factor in the future profitability of mining, copper, gold, silver, whatever.

A factor that any potential suitor would surely consider.

This should be part of your DD, don't overlook it.
