I dont think Vale is into gold very much, but you never know. I have been watching Cliff,s Natural Resources stepping into gold plays since early last year, that seemed out of their norm to me.

A thought, you may see governments backing some of these big miners when it comes to gold aquisitions. The U.S. and Chinese governments would be the first 2 to come to mind. The U.S. currently holds the most gold with China approx 8 times less. China, from rumors, is expected to increase their gold by 10 times in the near future. This may cause a gold rush of its own if it gets out of control.
