Kemo, it was just some digging carried on from a post Sculpin made yesterday, because the numbers just did not add up, as to how they came up with those kind of numbers.

But, it says in my last post that they aquired approx 138 million ozs! Something is not adding up here. Maybe its a typo in the links I provided or maybe a lot of aquisitions are missing from the above link.
I don,t remember through the year, hearing of Barrick making a lot of aquisitions, yet , somehow they managed to REPLACE 138 million ounces of gold.
As I said, I didnt dig right into it, and the numbers may be in the info I provided. BUT, if the math doesn,t add up, then where did they get that 138 million ounces. Thats an awful lot of gold to come up with, when I,m guessing the average aquisition by any company this year was probably around 4 million ounces.
