Just watching BNN, and they were interviewing Goldcorp CEO Chuck Jeannes, from the Mineral Exploration Roundup @ Vancouver. One of the things they were talking about was the Andean deal, which closed Dec 2010, from the offer Sept 03, 2010. Remember watching the action that morning, when they out bid Kinross.
Bottom Line, it was a $3.6 Billion deal, based mainly on 2.5 Million OZ (and a very promising future, etc)
Based in SLI numbers, that would give you:
3.6 Billion divided by our outstanding shares (approx 120 Million fully diluted) gives you approx $30 per share, based on 2.5 Million OZ (however, they did pay a very high price per OZ gold in the ground IMO)
