Keep in mind, the opinions on this site are for the most part speculation and are not necessarily the opinions of the company WITHOUT PREJUDICE
I was at a small store Friday where I purchase most of my fishing supplies. I know the owner and we converse casually about investing. He usually asks how my investments are going and mentioned awhile back that he may do some self directed investing. I was in a hurry Friday, whereas I had to leave there and rush to an MRI appointment that I was kinda of running late on. Anyways it took months to get this booking and I didnt want to jeopardize it.
So, I said to the owner, if you start soon to self invest, you might want to check this out. I wrote SLI.V on a paper and handed it to him. He asked what,s so special about this company. I said it may be one of the biggest gold finds in history, if not the biggest.
"Oh, another Bre-x?" he said.I said " Yeah, something like them, except they have more gold and its real" " Things are not the same as they were in the Bre-x days, the companies today have to meet regulatory requirements which pretty much prevents the Bre-x scandal from happening again " By that time, 2 other guys walked in. The owner said that these guys were investors too and asked if they ever heard of SLI. They said no, and I told them it may be a big gold find. The first thing that came to their lips was "Bre-x".
I said I dont have time to discuss this, and I don,t promote stocks to people. I will mention SLI, and if they are interested, check it out. The exception to this, is that I did promote SLI, but to my family.
So, one guy tried to call his broker on his sell. I told him not to waste his time because his broker probably never heard of SLI either. But then , I had a second thought and said "yeah, try him, I want to know what he says." But the guys broker was not answering.
Anyhow, I left them with the comment " did you ever see a venture gold explorer trading at a $1.80 with not a drill hole in the ground?, That should tell you something."
