Excellent posts guys,no offence taken, I beleive its great to get this discussed on the board . Everyone has to realize the greed factor and the risk and find the medium between the two. The main decision I have, is how much capitol am I willing to risk. Should I gamble and "bet the farm" or should I use common sense and limit my risk. I have chosen the latter, a long time ago, but still have battles between the greed and common sense. This is why I am constantly doing research on this company. The bad thing about doing all the research is, that it is adding to the greed aspect and pushing the common sense out of the way, therefore the battle.
I have made my last few posts with the objective to get this discussed on the board and for someone to throw up the risks. I have been throwing up to the board my findings and expectations, with no one really countering them and throwing a different perspective on them. I do use probability and percentages in my calculations of risk/reward ratio. At this point in time, that ratio is way out of whack with reward heavily biased to the risk , hence, playing tricks with common sense.
I do have holdings in other companies, and intend to keep them as an insurance policy, even though they also are not without risk, it does give time and stability in case I make the wrong decision in any of my investments. My financial position could allow for me to take a total loss on SLI and still be able to live, not as good mind you, but still able to survive. Each person is different in their comfort level, and to find mine, I look at every little detail.
