Thats a good idea Kherson. If you gonna spend the 5000, you may as well do it now. Even though you can only transfer as many shares as the going price of the day allows, you should have some left over for you cash account. Also remember that your allowed to use the lowest price of the day for your tfsa transfer, so if you see a day with a big dip, thats the one you want. Im not sure about other trading houses, but Canacorde allows this.
