We may be on a very rich deposit that runs deep and is well worth exploiting. That is obviously the hope here for all of us. As for this area having been mined for a long time, it most certainly has been. An excerpt from Kherson's post:
Deeply eroded mesothermal ore bodies in Australia, American Rockies and the Urals of Asia have sourced most of the major gold placers worldwide.
You can bet that the mining of the past was for the most part done by the rivers Acari and and the one between Tesoro and San Juan.
My hope is that if this play works out I can have some time and $$$ to travel. Peru will be a destination. See Machu Picchu, the Nasca Lines and pan for gold on the Rio Acari.
