I know absolutely nothing about assay methods, but just assume they use different parameters for different levels of ore content. When they're reading more than 10,000pbb (10 gm/ton ) , it may need a more sophisticated analysis. Just my guess.

Considering the rest of this NR maybe they're trying to squeeze the max out of this spark.
