June 3, 2010 NR: Ansell submitted the EIS. Approval as of today reflects almost five months of processing time, which is actually pretty fast.

Let's hope SLI's submission of their updated EIS doesn't need 5 months from the time of submission, i.e. Aug, 2010 - that would mean a Jan, 2011 approval.

On the positive side, maybe the relatively short turnaround of the Vilcoro permit means the Peruvian gov't is reducing the backlog....
