I hear ya, I hear ya!! As I've also posted, I think far too much about this play because of the incredible potential. The two risks you've listed are the same ones that I come up with, the last ones that need to be overcome. Of course, there are more potential risks, such as some kind of negative involvement from the gov't, or political instability, or an unforeseen global event that sinks the price of gold. Those risks, to me, are there in the background, with a much lower probability of occuring than not getting the permit or discovering that the ovoid is iron ore.

And yet, like yourself, from my life experience, I'm telling myself the same thing. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is. So what am I missing? So far, I'm coming up emtpy-handed.

Another good question you've posed: if we can see the potential, why can't everyone else? Well, I can offer a few thoughts: some of the big brokerage houses won't buy in on a venture stock until it gets to at least the $3-$5 range. So they don't care if they "miss" the opportunity to get in at $1.40, they want to see the stock have some legs (volume and price) before they get in. You may have noticed from other posters that many of the so-called "big" players have never heard of SLI. So in some respects the story is still only known by a select and small group of players. Also, some big players will not jump in until they see permits and drill results, because they just simply do not like any risk whatsoever. In my mind, that is the most likely reason that the sp has not moved higher on speculation alone. Aside from that, I can't think of many other reasons. Try the logic on yourself. Knowing what you know about SLI from doing your own DD, are you comfortable buying in at the current sp? If you hesitate before answering, then imagine how the average investor might react about SLI, having received it as a "hot stock tip" from someone they know, not having the DD knowledge that you have amassed over the last few months. When I think about it in that way, it makes perfect sense why everyone is not piling on. Based on what I know, I "should be" buying way more shares at the current sp....but I'm not. The number of shares I own is about right for my risk tolerance, so for now I'm holding. Once the new 3D images come out, well, I may change my mind, but maybe not! The real slam dunk happens when the drills go in....and come back out!

Anyone else have thoughts/comments?

Thanks,

JSS
