I think people wise enough to make sound investment decisions don't believe they should take advice from soap operas. A casual read of comments on almost any thread would show most people that this other site is not useful for gaining credible information. I commend you for leaving the unnamed site and staying out of the mud. It's a case where stooping to that level doesn't serve any positive purpose. Clearly the bashers enjoy getting under the skin of others, and they have been disappointingly successful. An "uh huh" moment for me was when one poster included personal information about another that hadn't been disclosed on the site. I suspect that a few of these people know each other in the real world, and aren't friends. SLI has gained investors in a sort of tupperware party manner with word of mouth and some casual meetings between people who know each other. There appear to be groups of investors in numerous communities, some with closer relationships with management than others, and varying degrees of commitment from a financial standpoint. Human nature has many good things going for it. I'm happy to see the positive attitude and professional manner shine through on this site.
I think it's a very uphill battle to add credibility to a site that allows vulgarity and personal attacks and has multiple posters using these strategies. I enjoyed the information when I first started reading, when the informed posts were the majority, but now the balance has tipped way too far.
At least that's how I see it.
