"I was also interested in Red's perspective on the subject of amalgamation, JV and out and out buyouts, however I would like to see more results and perhaps a better share price before any of that only for the fact of a better bargaining platform. What are your present thoughts about that?"

Art,

With regards to a JV the share price of SGX doesn't matter. Give someone 50% of a property and have them finance some exploration to earn that interest... then split costs going forward.

With regards to a merger the share price also doesn't necessarily matter, per se, as it's the agreed upon share exchange ratio that matters... as well as the share price of the other company... Take SGX and KXL for example, both companies are arguably somewhat oversold... these two companies could combine and as an SGX shareholder you would get, say, 1 share of the 'new company' for every 10 shares of SGX you currently own... this exchange ratio could just as easily be 8:1 or 6:1... depends only on what mgmt of both companies agree... it's what you as an existing shareholder ends up with at the end of the day that matters... the share price today does not necessarily dictate that.

I still say SGX need to do a deal or deals... IMO a merger with KXL seems obvious and does make sense for shareholders of both companies... tie up entire GM and almost entire BG gold camp... combined company could then eventually spin-off Ni-Cu interests and uranium interests in to seperate companies and issue shares to existing shareholders for such... not to mention both companies have been trading at a strict 10:1 ratio for a long time... KXL showing some strength today... let's see if SGX follows...

JMHO.

Happy Holidays to all,
