I can still remember back to 1996 when Barrick Gold bought out Arequipa for $30 a share based on a 5 million oz resource. Guyana Goldfields has that and trades for $4.40 a share. Sage, Kodiac, Ontex, Starfield, etc all would have traded in the $2-3 range back then. There simply is no buying interest in these stocks now. Look at CIT Group. It is up $.17 today when the markets are down, and for what, a bankrupt bank that is not expected to survive the year. I understand the frustration everyone has when a stock you own has the potential for a 1000-2000% gain and trades for a lousy 7 cents. No lottery ticket has the odds these stocks have. These are giveaway prices.
