Mr. Nolan Merritt Thomas Cox, 71 years, of Beardmore, Ontario passed away Wednesday, July 1st, 2009 at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital, Nipigon, Ontario. Nolan was born in Geraldton, Ontario and was a prospector his whole life. His main interests were hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Kenogamisis Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. # 656, Geraldton, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents – Ted and Wilma Cox; he is survived by his wife Norma (nee Yahn) of Beardmore, by two sons – Ted (& Melissa) Cox of Beardmore and Daniel (& Roberta) Cox of Thunder Bay, Ontario, by four grandchildren – Dustyn, Nolan, Charissa and Cassandra, by his brother Tom (& Sheila) Cox of Mackenzie, British Columbia and his sons – Nolan (& Dixie) Cox of Pemberton, British Columbia and Doug (& Sue) Cox of Mackenzie, British Columbia. Respecting Nolan‘s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Friends so wishing may make donations to Ronald McDonald House or to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon.
