Lynx Resource, Vein 9 and KXL...

posted on Mar 31, 2009 04:00PM

So... the long anticipated resource estimate for Onaman-Lynx has been released (before the end of Q1 as 'promised' I might add LOL). The companies first NI 43-101. Kind of exciting... Congratulations SGX. A positive milestone but still much work to be done at Onaman.

Vein 9 results should be next. 'Widest and highest grade vein discovered to date'?... I guess we will 'soon' find out. Could be exciting but then again could not be exciting.

After Vein 9 results (which could be out this week IMO), what's next for SGX?... What do shareholders have to look forward to while they await long anticipated Golden Extension drilling possibly not to start (at the earliest!) until spring breakup is complete sometime in June?

The only things I can think of would be...

1) Kerrs drilling announcement and 2) KXL results

Kerrs drilling may start 'soon' (as in April-May) but complete results not likely reported until July. KXL results would seem to be IMO the only hope for SGXers during the undoubtly long drought between only remaing winter 'Vein 9' NR and summer drilling. KXL results could be exciting as we were told in December that they would be drilling zones further west and particularly under Golden Pond. West is good for SGX. Surely KXL must have a ton of results pending, they have been drilling full-steam ahead with multiple drills since early-February with minimal results released to date. It's now April. But then again, KXL results may just be more-of-the-same, non-market exciting results. If so, it's going to be an even longer wait as winter drags on into a seemingly endless April and May.

There is the possibility of a 'surprise' NR (i.e. JV?, acquisition?, merger?, etc.?), but for some reason I don't think so. What are the possibilities? Haven't seen any surprse NRs out of either company thus far.

Comments?

From Dec. 3rd KXL NR:

"Drilling just west of the Golden Pond on the Golden Mile has identified several zones of strongly altered granitic host rock cut by multiple thick, gold mineralized quartz veins. These veins are open along strike and at depth, and may be on the margin of a high-grade zone similar to the pattern seen in Area 51 of the central portion of the Golden Mile. Exploration drilling in this area and in the unexplored segment of the Golden Mile below the Golden Pond will continue this winter."
