New vein maps... Vein 4 and Vein 2.

Would seem to me the high grade channel and grab samples occur throughout this 80m section of Vein 4 ("by far the strongest mineralized quartz vein emanating from Sage's initial discovery"). The VERY high grade grab samples (i.e. 140g/t+) occur on the western-side of Vein 4. Also really like how we can see how the western side... "single vein feathers out into a series of at least four separate veins and stringers in a 2.5-metre width of sheared mafic volcanic rocks" (from NR). It's too bad Vein 4 got too deep to continue trenching, seems they were really starting to hit paydirt. As longbomb and others have said, this piece of information "at the contact between volcanic and granodiorite country rocks" seems key.

Let's hope Vein 9 (300 metres to the W-NW of Vein 4) continues with this success. We have been told Vein 9 is wider. Let's hope we get similar grades over greater widths and more talk of sheared mafic volcanic and contact between volcanic and granodiorite country rocks.

From March 19, 2009 NR:

"Vein 4 has now been exposed and sampled a total length of 83 metres. Over most of its length, it consists of a single quartz vein in granodiorite. At the western end of the trenched area, the single vein feathers out into a series of at least four separate veins and stringers in a 2.5-metre width of sheared mafic volcanic rocks, at the contact between volcanic and granodiorite country rocks. Each individual quartz vein and stringer is mineralized with pyrite and visible gold. Vein 4 was exposed as far as possible to the west until the overburden became too deep.

To date, vein 4 is by far the strongest mineralized quartz vein emanating from Sage's initial discovery. Meanwhile, Sage's prospecting team discovered a new vein, vein 9, 300 metres to the west-northwest of vein 4. Assays from vein 9 will be reported shortly in a separate news release."
