According to historical data... GMP trade history by date below. Of course this does not include trades made under 'Anon' disguise. Also no way to tell how many shares they may have obtained through participating in private placements. I only use this data to trach what houses 'may' be doing over time. Do not think for a second it tells the whole picture for any given house. Although for some of the 'more institutional' houses (i.e. GMP) I have found tracking these data very useful at time.
Based on the data for GMP... they seem to have sold 933k more than they have bought. However 483k of this was a GMP-GMP cross on May 5, 2008... therefore, excluding this 483k as a 'sale' and GMP has only sold 450k more than they have bought... as stated abover these 450k could have been obtained by means other than public market purchase (i.e PP) or may represent shares bought under 'Anon' name. IMO they appear to be done or very close to almost done LOL... No way to tell ifor sure other than to watch trade history closely.
Again, I only use this to get an idea of what 'may' be happening. Sometimes very helpful... other times not. You be the judge.
