Focused on becoming a near-term Gold Producer
quackaphobe,
Thank you for presenting the results of your resource studies and your logical analysis of greenstone belts, etc. I find your information interesting and very informative.
I agree with your description of the KXL approach to deep drilling at Hercules. It is my understanding that all the major gold producing camps in the other greenstone belts (Red Lake, Timmons, Val D'or, Kirkland Lake, etc.), have found their economic grades at depth. More recently, Gold Corp. found their highest grades much deeper, after mining at shallower depths for years.
The new high grade gold zone that KXL discovered at 300 m, is very impressive to me. Yet, few people, even on their board have given it much attention.
It includes "16.98 gpt gold (0.495 opt) over 1.3 metres including 63.67 gpt gold (1.857 opt) over 0.3 metres."
"The Lucky Strike and Golden Mile structures appear to converge at depth, a common control to high grade mineralization, defining an excellent deep target."
This high grade zone, coupled with the convergence of veins in the same area, has me excited about the probability of a major discovery at depth.
Can you imagine the implications of these converging veins being continuous to the NW? Like into Sage country! I don't know of any previous deep drilling in this area.
What are your thoughts about this?
