Focused on becoming a near-term Gold Producer
If OTC derivatives and the complexity of the SIV as well as other hedge fund manipulations that is bringing down the U.S. has to be spoon-fed to Bernanke by Wall Street magicians, what chance do I have of dreaming up a plan to thwart the "Master of puppets"???
The Fed, until it is disbanded, is ultimately the force behind this current resource stock slaughter. The forces that be are moving from the artificially inflated oil prices to resources very soon.(This way Bush can look like a hero, just before election time, and possibly conferring that honour to McCain, bringing "relief' to the consumers at the gas pump. )The same way they skipped out on the sub-prime debacle unscathed and left a nation holding the bag is the same way they will move to the next green pastures, all the while telling U.S. consumers that the dollar is sound and gold is risky.
While I am speaking from Canada, that does not completely isolate us from the pressures created in the U.S.
In my mind, the best thing Sage can do is roll up their sleeves and get to work. Which is just what they have been doing all summer. Even very good results are largely ignored in these market conditions, so it's not as though companies cranking out good NR's are getting the respect they deserve, in this particular sector, anyways. When the market is in a receptive mood, and once the big money has taken a stake, and the reality sets in that the U.S. economy is in real danger, then the SP will move substantively on news. And I get the feeling we will have news that will be worth hearing.
Secondly, as it has been mentioned, if Sage ever needs to go back to the well for more $$$, get a signed letter from the lending institution verifying that the PP will not be used as a tactic to short the stock to the lender's, or their associates, advantage, as Jim Sinclair and Jim Puplova recommend. Their website also has recommendations for juniors to band together to fight manipulation.
Just some of what I've been hearing out there. And now I need another coffee.
