Focused on becoming a near-term Gold Producer
Thank you au and cheapseats. Even though the share price remains unaffected, that report by Nigel that au presented is a super announcement. Metalurgical testing is a must for any discovery. It is called 'the back end of the business' with exploration being the front end. In the end it is the metallurgical results that count for if the process can't come up with those little gold [pt/pd/co/cu/ni/etc bricks, then all was for nothing. Share prices can go crazy on a discovery because it catches the heart and imagination of everybody, Initially this is not usually not so metallurgy. In metallurgy, you have to prove that what you have is viable and of course that includes being environmentally friendly and ecomonically doable.
A good example of what I am saying is niccolite. Most nickel exploration hunters would be happy for a 2% stand alone nickel find. Niccolite had grades of 40-50 plus%, so what is the problem. It is called arsenic. All niccolite is loaded to the gills with arsenic and to date there is not a metallurgical process that can safely take out and dispose of that much poison. So what good was the discovery? Apparently none. [to date] Sage has no such prioblem and for them to take bulk samples to be tested metallurgically, then it is as cheapseats said, a clear latter stage development of the project concerned. I think that is exciting even though is is 'the back end of the business'.
Best wishes,
Jerry Francis
