BTW... I am a gold bug and probably a little biased... but...

I truly believe commodities will remain strong thoughout 2008 and beyond despite US recession and/or downturn. Volatility will remain but the trend will be up. Like you said, there has been a definite influx of investment dollars to 'quality' and juniors have suffered. Particularly, as most here are aware, with price of gold north of $900, gold producers or even near-producers have been doing very well whereas exploration stocks have fallen WELL behind. This is unprecedented in history. Although there is often a lag, exploration stocks will/have eventually follow the path of producers, as when they are better off more money flows in the industry. IMO the apparent 'stalling' in the exploration stock space cannot and will not continue assuming commodity strength continues. It's impossible. I also think we are very close to the tipping point where we will see juniors, and therefore the TSX-v, start to play catch-up in the very near future (definitely before mid-2008) IMO.

P.S. Latest round of gold consolidation seems to be over. No shortage of SGX buyers thus far this AM.

JMHO. I do not pretend to be an sort of expert. Comments welcome.
