Stainlessteal,
In an earlier post to 'Neophyte Senior' I commented on the geology found on the recent 43-101 even though there was a later figure in the Dec 2019 Presentation that had more details. Unfortuniately I have a colour handicap that has been a major pain ever since earlier geology days. My long term assistant [partner] set me straight on the Dave's geology so ignore the earlier version.
Based on Page 6 of the Dec 2019 Presentation there are 2 rock units in play, Felsic Intrusives and Intermediate & Mafic Volcanics. The Felsic Intrusives [ FT] are present on the west side of Bussiere, [Boulamaque Batholith], along the northeast side of the Island Garden Fault and along the eastern claim boundary. The Intermediate & Mafic Intrusives are found underlying the majority land mass on Probe's claim block and also east of the claim boundary, the island surrounded by felsic intrusives.
It appears that the Southwest, West Bussiere and Creek deposits are all along the contact between the felsic intrusives and the mafic volcanics as well as the active gold mine north of Creek and the Senore deposit. If this contact zone is important, it appears very important, then prehaps the Island Garden Fault is equally important for hydrothermal gold prospecting. The felsic intrusives on the eastern side of the fault could have been displaced 100's of meters to todays surface bringing heat, hydrothermally altered minerals and rich gold deposits much closer to surface along the 30 km plus length of the fault.
East of the Island Garden Fault there is a contact zone again between the Felsic Intrusives [batholith] and the Intermediate & Mafic Volcanics, about 7 km of strike length is on Probe's claim block. This contact zone could be equelly important.
The Island Garden Fault name is quite unique, could it be possible that the name comes in part from the island of Intermediate and Mafic Volcanics that is surrounded by Felsic Intrusives. An odd situation.
