Concern for saying no!

The only thing that continually gets in my way of saying no to this offer has always been that AEM released its shares so early in the time frame since GC made the offer. It makes me wonder what they saw in the offer that made it worthwile not to wait to at least sweat GC a bit into making a better offer.
Did they get a side deal to compensate them for this? Was this Jamie guy in cahoots with AEM? Or with GC for that matter? Or did they see that it wasn't worth their effort to go after Probe themselves? Somehow or another, I am sure that AEM were just as much in the know as what GC was. (Both likely having more info than the retail investor.
With the perverse way that the deal was put together, all in shares of GC at a momentary high level, we were in essence already sold from day one and placed in the vagaries of the share price of GC. An assured way to exert as much pain on the retail investor should the GC share price go south. (which it seems to have).
I also wonder why Dave would have accepted this offer. I can't imagine that he had too. Was he duped into it? Or did he actually see this as a good deal for what his explorations had found? Is Dave more a geologist/explorer or a financial guy? Maybe he saw this as his opportunity to let go of the Borden Lake gold find as there wasn't much of interest in there for him anymore. With New Probe he could carry on his passion for finding new and other promising areas in a well funded manner. I don't think I would have any problem with following him in any of his new endeavours if he continues his explorations.
So I will probably hang onto my shares until the deal is completed, sell my new shares in GC and hang onto the New Probe shares. This still leaves me the question if I should vote No or Yes. Do I believe completely that there is more in the ground then what is being said? (Can't tell as they didn't publish their drilling results and I unfortunately think that the big companies have acces to this information), or do I believe Probes release that this is actually a good deal. (I've believed Probe's release up to just prior to the sale so why would it change now?)
Are ther any further comments about this?
