I still believe the politcal landscape is good for gold. The U.S. dollar will suffer when they figure out Russia and China are trade swapping it away and doing their own thing.

Gold will be come more scarce end of 2015. Gold prodcution will slow in Africa due to Ebola.

When you looking at the different measures...make sure you look at ounces ( troy ounces ) and how that relates to tons. A lot of contracts are in Tons...Russia bought 43 tons in october. Short ton 2000 lb's ...Tonne 2200 lb's....keep you units straight !

Chinese purchase on the Shanghai exchange has crept up to about 90,000 kg / week or 32.15 oz x 90,000 = 2,893,000 ounces....so for example PRB exhausting Borden would yield about 3 weeks worth of Gold for physical settlement. In other words a 3 week mine life. Not realistic...but perspective....

Chinese, Russia, Banks need gold and repatriation is just the start.

I suspect China will back their currency ...announce they have 12000-14000 tons....and this wil put everyone back on a gold standard challeging the value of their currency versus the Remnimbi...Russia wil become best of friends with the Chinese. Others will follow...U.S. dollar will have no support 2 years from now. U.S. will remain in Recession...and sadly the U.S. citizens will still demand cheap goods, cheap gasoline, good jobs and expensive heathcare. A very unhealthy blend of wishes and wants.
