CapT,
Well-made video. As I recall (but don't remember exactly when) I have sent the info to Dave some time ago, but have not heard back from him. Perhaps some of us with good rapport with him could have a little chinwag, especially over a beer or something, to see if he would be receptive to the idea. I believe this is the drilling method used by KWG/BOL for drilling deep and directional for chromite (BlackHorse) on the JV claims with FNC in the Ring of Fire. It was over 1000m deep.
One of the advantages is drilling under the lake, instead of through it, would not require cementing of the drill holes. Drilling though the lake without proper cementing would result in leaky roofs. Not sure if this is feasible or not, but one nice spot is the larger island near the Narrows (believe that is PRB 100% claim, just like the lake). Set up a drill rig there (using a barge, or heli lift it over) and you can drill in any direction within its radius, noting that this island is quite close to the ends of holes 624 and 621W. There is a nice diagram in Raymond James report, page 2 of 9. Drilling from the north shore may not be as convenient if the drill pad is moved further away from the high grade deposits.
As a side remark, somebody at Devico had some excellent imagination for their logo. Notice the long tail for the "i" (which makes it look like a backward j) in Devico logo...suggesting a curve drilling path.
