Mark,
Very good read. Thanks.
Lassonde is a very experienced fellow in the gold business. He's also a visionary.
Yup, the folks in China and India buy, non-stop, tonnes and tonnes of gold for jewelleries or otherwise. They houses are priced in terms of ounces of gold, and paid for in most cases in one shot (if you need to borrow, you would borrow from rich relatives). They go for the real thing (24 carat stuff only).
Check out the fashion below. The shirt is a tad expensive, but it comes only in one colour.
Don't overlook the gold chains around the neck and arm (surely, more than 1kg =1000g = ? oz), and belt, etc...

How many ounces this fellow is wearing? Any guess?
BTW, the shirt needs no ironing.
