Just wondering if the Office of Premier Wynne would be interested to hear about this. Copies of this file could be sent to her office along with some examples that would illustrate this kind of trading practice, first for her info, and second asking for her intervention.
It would be beneficial (not sure to whom, us ot he regulators?) if a copy of the covering letter to the Premier were sent to the IIROC and OSC for their awareness that contact has been made with the Premier Office. It would appear that the Premier is keen to receive feedback, concerns from the people, and wants to project an image that Ontario is squeeky clean, and "the system", including oversight of stocket market activities, is in good hands.
The Premier Office may come back with nicely worded letter promising that they would do what they can, but these are independent bodies and they are expected to carry out their job to resolve the concerns raised expeditiously. That would be fine, but bet that the IIROC and OSC would pay a bit more attention to the case.
A lot more attention would be given by the regulators and politicians if some TV program, such as the CBC Marketplace, took on the case and tracked things down (that could also assist the regulators in their investigation), just like CBS 60 Minutes doing the "Flash Boys" episodes in the US.
Imagine some title like "Price Fixing in the Stock Markets" in a 3-part program (at least 2). If there is indication of fraudulent practices the RCMP may initiate an investigation.
