It would have been much cheaper to scoop up the entire REC for about 1/10 of the current price when REC was half dead in the water. Anyhow a new deal has been reached.

Perhaps, both sides knew what lies beneath REC claims, especially at the West end of the HGZ. Grades seem to be very good at around 1000SE, and it may continue toward REC property (in the SW direction).

Also, this would give PRB more real estate to roam around on the South side the HGZ (under the lake). Build a small pit for getting at the HGZ in the West (and SW/SEC hopefully) and then a ramp to go underneath the lake. This would bypass the "Wedge". Let them hold out if they want to.
