BT,
Presumably, you have looked at Google Earth image for the area which does not seem to have high enough resolution (compared to that around Thunder Bay). Not sure if this is good enough for you to compare with the claim map by putting one on top of the other.
The coordinates I have for some key features are given below
- Centre of the large island just east of the Narrows
47 51 13.42 N; 83 14 47.84 W
- Hole 256 (this is my best guess for the collar, no guaranty what-so-ever). I also assume that this location is right at the SE corner of the 50% JV and the edge of the so called "wedge", the missing gap that we want to get from the twin companies. Note that the sweet spot for this hole is shifted by about 150m to the SW.
47 51 37.62 N; 83 15 22.07 W
There are some claim maps but again they are not that accurate. But perhaps these can be used for the comparison with GE image? There is a tiny insert in slide 12 of the Dec Corp Presentation. You could save it and blow it up to match the scale of the GE image. Hopefully this would give an overview picture for the purposes of sorting out the strategy for getting at the deposit under the lake.
I see two possible routes (others may see better options)
1. Entering (via a ramp) from the NE side of the deposit. This could be done through the 50% JV and then it will have to cross underneath the wedge.
2. Entering from the SW side from 100% PRB then cross the wedge area.
The best way would be to have the land deal. If not, perhaps the potential deposit under the wedge could somehow be avoided when the ramp is built (condemnation drilling?). I am thinking about a ramp running along the length of the deposit.
Just speculating folks.
If you have some detailed questions, or other ideas, please feel free to send me a PM.
