I have heard from experienced successful market people that just before a move takes place there is a price shakedown. Ran into NVDA's chart today and noticed their stock had a shakedown only to be followed by short term highs and this is when the DOW got crunched recently. Seems like these days more and more shares are being exposed to these frightening sell-offs.

Could it be since the Fed advised the investment bankers that there will be no more bail-outs for trading losses that naked short selling could be contracting and more of these staged daily roller coaster rides will start to appear?
