Will this affect gold? I suspect that it will. Aside from wanting gold higher, it just doesn't look to be in the cards these days. A higher dollar will more than likely push gold lower. Martin Armstrong feels that for gold to rekindle its bullish ways it has to first play out its trend need to go lower. If it can hold $1310 during the weeks, and possibly months ahead, there is an excellent chance that 2014 will be the beginning of an important up leg to new highs lasting from two to three years. Breaking that level, in his opinion, extends the downtrend in price and time.
