- There was an update meeting on Monday 25 March in Chapleau to brief the town folks on the progress and future status of the project and to listen to their input.Below is some info to add to the post by HonkytonkG on the other board:
- Drilling on ice is still in progress and will terminate when spring thaw finally comes to Chapleau. Total drill locations = ~10, or a bit over, depending on the local conditions.
- Drilling from a barge does not seem to be included in the program.
- As expected, the drill locations are in the vicinity of hole 256, jumping over "the wedge", and heading toward the lake in the SE direction.
- The holes are lined up in a string (fence), starting near the shore and ending at approximately 800m away from the shore.
If Dave is sucessful in acquiring "the wedge", then drilling after the spring thaw would be expected to start from terra firma in that area to complete the "SE fence".
