Darko,

If sizable deposit is found under the lake then there are two potions for the company

- underground mining, if the grade is high enough, e.g. over 3 gpt, to make mining it economical. A ramp can be built from the pit on the NW side of that part of Borden Lake (East of The Narrows), assuming open-pit is used for the other part of the deposit. The lake is shallow (around 70-80m deep, and the deposit is at something like 300m, so there is plenty of margin, for not punching a hole at the bottom of the lake and drain it by accident.

- draining: This can be done by: dewater that part of the lake, remove fish, refill later after the mining operation. All this is subject to the usual environmrntal assessment. There are examples around for diamond mining, e.g. link below. There are example for gold, but I don't have the reference. Saw it but did not keep the link (could be one of the Osisko's mines, where the pit outline in their 3-D model just cover one of the lakes).
