Did the S&P recently threaten to downgrade the USA if there was no viable solution to the Fiscal Cliff and the Debt Ceiling delay?

S&P says U.S. to file civil lawsuit over ratings

(Reuters) – Standard & Poor’s on Monday said it expects to be the target of a U.S. Department of Justice civil lawsuit over its ratings of mortgage bonds prior to the recent financial crisis.

It would seem the US is on the verge of a dollar crisis from this type of behavior in addition to the obvious pressuring lower of gold and silver recently in addition to unusually fierce efforts to defend the greenback at the 79.00 area. Something feels like it will happen. I guess we'll be the last to find out but as Sinclair says, prepare to defend yourselves.
