Of course it makes sense. But you need institutional support. About half of the shares are controlled by instituionals. Therefore without institutional support there won't be any chance to take over probe. And I guess they won't give probe away for 3 bucks.

Another opportunity would be buying at the open market, but thats not that smart, isn't it:)
