The PPT's little darling, the DJIA, slipped under its 50 day moving average this morning and is now down 221.20 at 13,124.69. Their mind set is such that if their golden child slips they quickly eliminate alternate choices by smearing them. In the case with gold, all they had to do was call their bullion bank buddies and instruct them to plug in their paper gold machine.
Gold is off $20.30 at 1709.20. This is setting up a 6 count for today's close in the current Granville downfield. The last time gold bottomed with these numbers was a 7 count some months back. Adding a few more coins to my bag in a few minutes. Today's action has taken the metal below its 50 day average at 1722.19. The rising 200 day average is at 1662.95 and not too far below to more than affect the breaking of the 50 day as being insignificant and temporary.
