There is a lengthly linked article below concerning the use of anonymous from exchanges around the world. The institutions support its use to avert front running their sizable orders but some brokerage firms may use it to front run their own customer orders. Studies have found that the anonymous orders influence prices over a longer time period as opposed to the public disclosed transactions which can be explosive over a shorter time span. Still, not much has changed over time:

Jesse Livermore use to conceal his buying and selling interests by having numerous brokerage accounts. The naked short sellers have replaced the bucket shop operations of the past where straight betting took place on future equity movements by flooding the marketplace with phony commitments to delivery physical certificates. The same illegal techniques has been allowed by regulators in the gold market to effect bullion prices with more paper promises based on gold backing that, plainly, does not exist.

This is one of the best examples of abuse of power when members of stock exchanges, the bullion banks and the investment banks, dictate the terms of exchange behavior to suit themselves in their quest for illegal profits in stealing from the public. They do it at the exchanges and do it at the banks by overextending credit to customers and then pull the plug with margin calls and foreclosures. This is how the great transfer of wealth is taking place today which is as old as the hills. One only has to frequent Martin Armstrong's website at http://www.martinarmstrong.org to gain the knowledge of the past in learning how this stealing just keeps going on, over and over again.

In addition, wealth is created by farming, mining, manuafacturing and innovative new services, not by the cranking out of coupons based on nothing more than the paper they are printed on. The monopoly game of the bankers is a freak show along with their suppressing the value of the real money, gold, and the companies that mine it and the ones that are looking to present new sources of the metal that will eventually be needed to replace the depleted deposits of the future. If you rent out your money to the bankers at today's low rates they will use it against your investments and may completely own you tomorrow, not forgetting to mention they will hold it for an unknown period of time if you want it back someday. If you give it to them you are part of the problem.
