Thats my guess but I'm not as optomistic on the price.... I fugure Cliffs will offer somewgere between $3.00 and $4.00 / share .... not so much for the additional chromite amount, but for the difference holding the probe ground would make to the project. Probes ground enables the project to start out with a very low strip ratio ( The outcrop) and allows this to be done from the high ground... also very important to have.
Since the Big Daddy is on/ through the property line it complicates any development if PRB is not part of the development. Cliffs has 400 million allready in cash into this project..... and another 800 million capex...... Is it not resonable to expect that Cliffs would invest another $120 to $160 million to enable the most efficient mining operation possible.....JMHO
If they don't take out the PRB deposit is leaves them vulnerabvle to someone else taking control of their project.... and I think they would have to be very stupid to take that risk when they allready have nearly half a billion committed to the project thus far.
Now things could get very interesting if someone else makes an offer for the chromite as Cliffs would be forced to counter offer and things could get ramped up, very ugly for Cliffs in that case and very nice for us....... My hopes are that some other sutor steps in with a bid...... then we will be doing the happy dance...LOL
I really do think this is a done deal with Cliffs though.... it has fallen together just to neatly to not have been a friendly progression of resource definition and aquisition.
