Joanne Jobin, Noront's vice-president of corporate communications, told Reuters, "We could keep raising our bid and Cliffs could outbid us until the cows come home, to be frank."
Personally, I believe it to be advantageous for all area juniors if Cliffs closes the deal and initiates the process of putting in infrastructure, since remoteness and lack of the same has always been a negative regarding exploitation of the various deposits of all types.
In other words, if you can't economically mine the ores, they are of no value. Probe's share price has always been based largely upon the assumption that eventually a strike will be of such value that cost of infrastructure will be more than offset by potential future profits.
