I think Dave is doing the right thing by conserving cash. Personally, I would think it might be a good idea if he picked up a few gold properties to supplement our exposure to the metal. We are entering an environment where base metal prices have limited upside potential. The price collapse of nickel and copper send an ominous message.

In the time period ahead investor response to higher gold prices will focus on those companies that have exposure to it. The gold stocks have been churned and hammered but in the end the butter will surface.
