My guess is that there is a very strong indicator(s) located in that anomaly, the one just north west of it and the two within Probe's claim.

The concentration of anomalies in that immediate area seems to support the  nickel cluster deposit theory. They have to drill this and other potential targets to further prove out the area play scenario.

As for negotiations between parties - my feeling is whatever is or is not underway whether between the juniors and/or majors, we will not know the results for at least 2 months - it would have to take at least that for further proving up of the area and due dilligence practises.
