It wouldn't surprise me that with another good discovery at McFauld's Lake if Pierre Lassonde's Franco Nevada would make an offer for Probe Mines. In addition to Probe's area claims, Franco would be happy to add the 5% NSR at Goldex Mines to their royalty portfolio. The Goldex royalty would not come cheap with gold at $783.50 an ounce and looking higher.

But then again, Sean Boyd of Agnico Eagle likes to say concerning Agnico's mines that they are 100% owned. At Goldex the majority of the located gold is only owned 95% by them and the remainder by Probe. Agnico already mines base metals as a byproduct of their gold mining operations. Is it time for Agnico Eagle to diversify a little away from gold like Barrick did in Tanzania when they bought into nickel claims?
