I once worked for a start-up that had some "big" industry names associated with it. Some worked directly with us for our company and other big names acted as spokes people because they really believed in what we were doing. We fell flat on our face in 18 months time. Having well known industry stars/names working for our company and promoting us made absolutely no difference.
